We’re proud to introduce the latest addition to our exclusive Hawaiian coffees – Lion Maui Mokka®!
From the ancient Yemeni port of Mocha to the gentle slopes of the West Maui mountains, these tiny round beans are the smallest of any coffea arabica cultivar and in 2014, Maui Mokka® Coffee earned the coveted title of “Hawaii’s Best Coffee” by capturing 1st Place at the Hawaii Coffee Association Statewide Coffee Cupping Competition.
Don’t let their size fool you, producing a crisp original cup with gentle undertones of chocolate, cocoa, brown sugar, nuts and fruit to finishing with a balanced and sweet yet smooth mouthfeel – we think you will find this to be an incredibly unique, memorable and distinctly Hawaiian coffee!

My new daily cup – wish it came in a larger bag! Always been a fan of this tiny varietal bean I usually have a hard time finding and mostly supplied from Africa. This is a smooth mokka with rich flavor and perfectly roasted. I haven’t written a review before because I’m afraid it will run out! This is my favorite from Lion.
I love these Beans, it makes the best cup of Coffee EVER! I was only making this Coffee on the weekends because I was saving it just for the weekends, then I decided life was too short not to have what I loved when I wanted! Now, I have it at least 3-4 times a week. It is sooo good!!!
Wife likes it!!
Personally, I’m not a huge Fan, and I have been spoiled by the Kona Coffee and this one seems to have bitterness like just about every other coffee does to me. Also, the beans are a bit more uniform in size and shape, but certainly smaller than the beans from the Kona bags that we’ve had… just an observation. However, this was a gift for my wife who loves coffee and she really loves it! Everyone else that has tried it at our house so far seems to really like it too!
Makes a Very Good Cup of Coffee
I ordered a bag of this (whole bean) on a whim. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Been grinding and brewing it now for a few days and I do like the flavor. They are a smaller bean from Maui, but for being small they pack a taste that is both bold and rich. You know what they say, “good things come in small packages.” I would say it is strong, but not too strong. Definitely defines what medium roast should be all about. The only fault I would have is that I was hoping for more of that mokka flavor (chocolate, brown sugar, & nuts). The chocolate hint in the bean is very faint. I am sensitive to taste and this has more of a nutty taste–but it is still good. Would recommend to others and will be ordering another bag soon.
I liked this when it was packaged in a Celebrity Chef bag and it hasn’t changed at all since it is now repackaged in a Lion Coffee bag. Thumbs Up
